I first became a Tony Lucca fan at the age of 14 when Tony was a star on the All New Mickey Mouse Club. He was the total talent package! He could sing, act, dance. He was funny, serious, could sing all different songs.
When I was 16 I got my first chance to meet Tony. MMC put out an album, and they toured to different Target stores to perform. Lucky for me they were coming to my local store! My friends and I got there very early, about 6 hours before the show to get a good spot. To our luck and surprise, a limo pull up right after we do. It's all the MMC singers! We got to see their sound check, chat with them a bit, take some phots. Tony ws so nice to everyone! The concert was awesome, they performed all their songs and danced. There was quite a crowd. After the concert they had an autograph session. You got to pick between two groups of autographs. My friends and I picked Tony's group which consisted of him, Matt Morris, Nita Booth and Dale Godboldo. Tony was again very sweet and we gave him our gift we had gotten for him.
I continued to watch Tony for the next few years on MMC. After that was over, Tony continued his acting career on the short lived prime time show Malibu Shores. After that was over, Tony started concentration on just his music
Thanks to the internet, I was able to follow Tony's musical career. He released four albums over the next six years through his website, being an independent artist. In 2004 Tony released his first commercial release, Shotgun earning the praise of Rolling Stone Magazine "The next wave, will include Lucca..."
I was really lucky to be able to see Tony perform three times in 2004. Reno, San Francisco and Modesto. I was albe to talk to Tony after his performance in Reno. I got a hug, an autograph and a photo with him. He was as nice as can be! I hope to have all my photos up soon on this site. I am also a part of the Tony Lucca Street Team which works to get Tony's music heard by more people!
