About American Dreams: American Dreams follows the life of the Pryor family. Dad Jack, mom Helen and their four children, soldier JJ, American Bandstand dancer Meg, the ever annoying genius Patty and polio suffering Will. Also thrown into the mix is Meg's best friend, the fun loving Roxanne, who also dances on Bandstand, Beth, the mother of JJ's son and fiance who recently moved in with the Pryors, Henry, who works for Jack and Sam, struggling with his heart and his head. This show takes place in Philadelphia during the turblent 60's. Dealing with a presidents death, racism, protests over war, and love that keeps families together, American Dreams is a powerful show that shows how life used to be. Throw in modern day acts such as Hilary Duff, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Wyclef Jean and Nick Carter recreating classic American Bandstand performances, and you've got yourself a highly entertaining show!
